A reason生き甲斐to build.
生き甲斐 — Ikigai. The intersection of what you love, what you're good at, what the world needs, and what you can be paid for. We build companies that live there.
The four circlesof Ikigai.
Borrowed from the people of Okinawa — the longest-living humans on Earth. We've turned it into a capital-allocation framework.
We only build in domains we'd choose without compensation. Conviction compounds.
Each venture must answer a question the world is asking — clearly, and now.
Operators with scar tissue. We've shipped the things we now help others ship.
Discipline of unit economics. Beautiful products, durable cash flows.
Builder.Operator.Sometimes student.
Three exits, twelve companies, one philosophy. I founded IKIGAI Venture Studio to do what most funds can't — sit inside the building, shoulder-to-shoulder with founders, from the first wireframe to the acquisition memo.
I learned 改善 (kaizen) in a Toyota supplier plant, raised capital in Singapore, and shipped my first product on a Shibuya rooftop. The studio is what happens when those three educations meet.
The portfolio.Living, breathing.
Twelve companies across four continents. Every one started in a room with a whiteboard and a question we couldn't stop thinking about.
When the cherryblossoms fall.
In the 侘び寂び tradition, beauty lives in the impermanent. A great exit honors the work — and frees the team to begin again.
